In order to showcase the artifacts of the Dutch stadholders, the Rijksmuseum was originally built in The Hague in the year 1800. The museum was relocated to Amsterdam in 1808 by King Louis Napoleon. The ticket counter of Rijksmuseum closes daily at 1700 hrs and on Fridays at 2130 hrs. The tickets are priced at Euro 10 for the adults and for the children, entry is made free of charge.
