Museum Het Rembrandthuis(Rembrandt House) in Amsterdam

The Rembrandt House Museum is a place in Jodenbreestraat in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It is the same place where the famous influential Dutch artist Rembrandt lived and used to paint beautiful pictures for a number of years. The Rembrandt House Museum is also known as Museum Het Rembrandthuis in the Dutch language. Nowadays this Museum Het Rembrandthuis(Rembrandt House)in Amsterdam is an important museum in the world. Famous personnel Rembrandt bought this building in the year of 1639 and used to live in that house. In the year of 1656, Rembrandt financially ruined. In this mentioned year, all the belongings of Rembrandt went on an auction.

The same building where Rembrandt lived between the years of 1639 to 1658 is later turned into a museum and got popularity as the name of Museum Het Rembrandthuis or the Rembrandt House Museum. The museum building was reconstructed between the year of 1606 and 1607.The street where Rembrandt House Museum is situated is known as the Sint Anthonisbreestraat. The museum house was constructed on two distributes in the eastern part of the Amsterdam city. Therefore, several rich merchants and creative persons decided to settle in this new part of the town. It is a significant two-storied residing with a stepped gable. In the year of 1627-28 the building was remodeled in a drastic manner. The house was given a new look with a triangular furnished gable. The reconstruction period was likely superintended by Jacob van Campen, the person to make his name as the designer of Amsterdam Town Hall which is now known as the Dutch Royal Palace in Dam Square.

In the early years of the museum, the collection of engravings grew steady as a result of gifts and buys. There were temporary exhibitions at Rembrandt House Museum but few alternations were made to the inside of the building. In the nineties, there were some major improvements. Some popular paintings and etchings provided extra information. The structural paintings for the refurbishment were made by designer named Maarten Neerincx in reference contacted Zantkuijl. The work was completed by the houses of Kneppers and Midreth. The reconstruction was completed in 1999.
